Firearms History and the Technology of Gun Violence (published January 2020) is an online exhibit designed by the UC Davis Library to provide context for the 2019-2020 Campus Community Book Project topic of violence-gun violence as our community reads and discusses Another Day in the Death of America: A Chronicle of Ten Short Lives by Gary Younge.

It complements the exhibit, Gun Violence in America, that was on display at Shields Library during October 2019 and a related talk by librarian Matt Conner.

The online exhibit provides a historical perspective on the development of modern firearms, based on the belief that, to understand gun violence, one must understand something about guns.
